General information
The active mailing of a surveillance card has recently been adopted.
As there are only two major children's hospitals in Latvia cards have
been sent to a comparatively few clinicians. Response rates are however
good at 90%.
Conditions studied
In 2006/7 the following were reported:
Leukaemia: lymphoblastic, myeloblastic); Lymphoma: Hodgkins), Non-Hodgkins);
Adolescent pregnants; arteficial abortions in adolescents; DM type II and MODY
in childhood ;
