Guillain-Barré Syndrome/Fisher Syndrome

  • This is a rapid response study following the recent Swine Flu (H1N1) pandemic
  • Surveillance will commence in September 2009
  • The study will determine how many new cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome in children and young people (aged 16 years or under)
  • The study will also determine history,nature and outcome to infection
  • The study will also examine vaccination history
  • Approved by Trent Ethics Committee and National Information Governance Board
