Medium Chain Acyl CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MCADD)

• This project commenced in 2004
• The project aims to identify all cases of MCADD diagnosed during the study period in order to determine clinical outcome to two years of age
• Data will be compared with the 1986 BPSU study and other international studies
• Results will inform newborn screening policy in the UK
• Funded: National Screening Committee and the Department of Health
• Ethics approval London GOS MREC and PIAG
• Lead Investigators: Professor C Dezateux, Ms J Oerton, ICH London.
